  • 1/2 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 cup whole milk (or almond milk for dairy-free)
  • 4 large eggs (room temperature)
  • 1 can (14 oz) sweetened condensed milk
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1/2 cup caramel sauce (homemade or store-bought)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and lightly grease a bundt pan.
  2. In a saucepan over medium heat, prepare the caramel sauce by melting sugar until golden brown; pour it into the bottom of the bundt pan.
  3. In a bowl, mix flour, cocoa powder, sugar, baking powder, and salt. In another bowl, whisk together milk, eggs, and vanilla extract; combine with dry ingredients until smooth.
  4. Blend sweetened condensed milk, eggs, milk, and vanilla extract to create the flan mixture.
  5. Pour the chocolate batter over the caramel in the bundt pan, then gently add the flan mixture on top.
  6. Place the bundt pan in a larger dish filled with hot water (halfway up) and bake for 50-60 minutes until set.
  7. Let cool completely before flipping onto a serving plate.
