  • 4 cups all-purpose flour
  • ½ cup granulated sugar
  • 2 teaspoons active dry yeast
  • 1 cup warm milk
  • 2 large eggs
  • 2 tablespoons unsalted butter (melted)
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 tablespoon ground cinnamon
  • Powdered sugar for dusting

Instructions

  1. Warm milk slightly and sprinkle yeast over it. Let it bloom for about 5 minutes.
  2. In a large bowl, whisk flour, granulated sugar, salt, and cinnamon together.
  3. Combine the yeast mixture with dry ingredients along with melted butter and eggs. Stir until mixed.
  4. Knead dough on a floured surface for about 8–10 minutes until smooth and elastic.
  5. Place the dough in a greased bowl, cover, and let it rise in a warm area for about 1 hour or until doubled in size.
  6. Roll out risen dough into a rectangle, brush with melted butter and sprinkle generously with cinnamon-sugar.
  7. Cut into strips, twist them into cruffin shapes, and let rise again for 30 minutes.
  8. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C) and bake for approximately 15–20 minutes until golden brown.
